GFWC Woman's Wednesday Club of Granbury is a private woman's club founded in 1897 which continues to be involved in charitable and educational works.

The GFWC Woman's Wednesday Club (WWC) of Granbury, INC. is a 501C(3) non-profit charitable organization and member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs and the Texas Federation of Women's Clubs. The Woman's Wednesday Club was organized in 1897 and has been continuously active in Granbury for 124 years. In 1987 its members built our clubhouse located at 306 N Travis St.

With its proud history, the WWC continues to focus its efforts and support on Granbury and Hood County. Our 50 members not only give to this community financially, but are also the backbone of many charitable organizations that serve this area. In the past fiscal year, the WWC donated over $12,000 to non-profit organizations.

The WWC strongly believes in higher education and considers a college degree to be a key goal for young women graduating from high school. The Lois G. Cleveland Memorial Scholarship Fund was established over 18 years ago by the WWC, and presentation of annual college scholarships to female Hood County graduates became a part of the WWC's legacy.

Scholarships totaling $30,000 were appropriated for young women who graduated from Hood County high schools in 2020. These scholarships are funded by generous donations, sponsorships, and fundraising from the Taste of Granbury.
